I tried several ini tweaks first that I found on-line but none of them made any difference for me. When I came back to it years later (2019) I discovered there was no native support for 1920×1080 or higher resolutions. I first played this game back in 2002 about a year after it came out and back then monitors were still square and not many people could imagine wanting to do anything in a 16:9 aspect ratio. However, even though it’s aged very well the software cannot manage the game properly on modern systems. The original Deus Ex, now called Deus Ex: Game of the Year edition, or Deus Ex: GOTY, was a fantastic game back when it was released in 2001.
